NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month and the idea is that you, during the otherwise not so joyful November, write a 50 000 word novel. It might seem like a big task but I found that it wasn’t too big of a challenge.
We have 5 teenagers in the family so the days are quite busy but having that wordcount goal in mind really made me focus on my writing. It’s quite easy to put my writing at the bottom of my priorities so NaNoWriMo really made a difference for me.
I knew that the manuscript was nowhere near finished but I needed someone else’s eyes and I just got the editor’s feedback. I’m so happy I decided to ask for help because now I know exactly what I need to do to make it better.
